Art We Heart: Issue 3

We’re back with another edition of Art We Heart, and the Luv Letters have finally hit the shop just in time for Mother’s Day. This issue features four artists using a variety of mediums, so there’s something for everyone. We hope you enjoy meeting this talented bunch.

Yuliya (Julie) Zaborovets

Zaborovets is a Florida based artist, born in Odessa, Ukraine. Making oil paintings with palette knifes, she creates an impressionistic flow, rich in color, texture, and love. Sun-kissed landscapes, seascapes, and blooming florals are her endless inspiration. “I love it, when art collectors say that my paintings are their joyful windows to happiness.”

Paige Ledom

I believe art walks alongside life. Once I began embracing the philosophy of art being about the way we live, I don’t think it’s a coincidence my work became more physically layered too. I’m interested in how layers build over time both on paper and beyond the constraints of a page, within ourselves and around us.

Eui-Jip Hwang

I started this photography project to capture the fleeting nature of time by recording the sky during the height of the pandemic. It's not about capturing memories, but instead looking forward to beautiful days that lie ahead, full of hope and anticipation. The sky's continuous transformation provides me with a constant source of inspiration, fueling my desire to see what each new day may bring.

Kate Rasmussen

Injecting humor and a bit of irony into my work brings me great joy and is the thing I love most about my creative process. I’m inspired by unexpected pairings whether it be in food, fashion, interiors, and/or art. I channel that inspiration to create sculptural works where I combine disparate elements. Pairing everyday objects with historical elements allows me to elevate the everyday while making precious pieces feel more approachable.
